I have Antivir personal edition. Am I to use the Scheduler feature and if so how often is the software to start up? If not, how do I start it manually? (Computer challenged if not already obvious.)
    Thanks, Less is more

Well you can do either. If you want to do a manual scan feel free to run it. But if you are worried about it I suggest having it run weekly when you are sleeping. So set it to run around 2 or 3 in the morning that way it is done when you wake up.
As far as it starting up, it should start automatically after you install it.

    BTW

I would do autostart on the av when the computer boots. If it's not running when you or another user gets hit, you're fooched. Makes me laff when I hear ppl say to turn it off untill after you've had an infestation.
