anybody else sick of rebate deals ?

    i am so sick and tired of finding a deal on something only to find
    out it's "after rebate" !!!!!!!! :hotouch: :mad:

    i learned my lesson on rebates on my printer when i got a letter
    saying i didnt include the upc...knowing damn fool well i did...
    aaaaaaahhhhhhh........venting !!!!

    I don't even do mail in rebates. Usually it's because I don't trust myself to actually get it sent in - so I never buy anything based on them.

    that's what the companies are counting on!
    I send in everything. What really gets me is the rebates that cost more to mail than you get back..... mostly household items like motor oil or soap.

    I'll buy based on rebates occationally. I got my Sandisk Cruzer Mini 1Gig for $54 after rebate about 8 months ago. Haven't seen it any cheaper than that since.

    I'm going to have to do the rebates for my DSL that I just got set up, they are charging me $49.99 for the hookup, and there is a $50 online rebate.

    Staples is now doing instant rebates, so that makes it a little nicer.

    I usually buy online or in the military PX (for tax-free reasons.) either way, I seldom deal with rebates.

    I do use coupons a lot.
