Ever since iOS7 was officially released to the public back in September, there have been reports of a bug which causes the iPhone to reboot randomly. Apple has now confirmed that it is aware of the bug and will fix it in the near future. "We have a fix in an upcoming software update for a bug that can occasionally cause a home screen crash," Apple spokesperson Trudy Muller told Mashable.

The bug seems to affect any iOS7-powered iPhone. Reports suggest that the boot-up screen color depends on the iPhone's color. If your iPhone is black in color, the boot-up screen will display a black background with a white Apple logo over it, and vice-versa for the white iPhone.

Some users have reported that the reboot occurs when switching between apps, while according to others, it occurs after the iPhone's battery goes below the 30 percent level. Just like Windows' infamous 'Blue Screen Of Death', iPhone users have dubbed this soft reboot issue as 'White/Black Screen Of Death'.

As of now, it is not clear when the fix will be available. It could possibly arrive with iOS 7.1, which is currently in its fourth beta with the development community.

Apple's iOS7 represents the biggest change to iOS since the introduction of the iPhone. Though it received mostly positive reviews from tech analysts, the OS has been plagued with problems since its launch.
