Apple's iTunes Store surpasses 1 billion podcast subscriptions

  1. Apple recently announced the iTunes Store now has over one billion podcast subscriptions. In celebration of the achievement, the company is highlighting some of the most popular podcasts since the service was added in 2005.

  2. Advertisement to show off user created data is still advertisement. If they weren't interested in making money off this, then they would have kept quiet about it. Its all about Apple letting you know that "everyone is doing it" and you should too. Thinking apple is not trying to further its user base, and make money off of this new fact, is a bit naive.

    BTW im not trash talking Apple. If it was my company, I would do the same thing.

    Cool, a running total that has absolutely nothing to do with the number of active subscriptions.
