Applications constantly freezing the unfreezing

On my fujitsu windows 8.1 laptop, all applications constantly freezes and unfreezes as well as the application crashing every so often at random intervals, I've tried everything, I updated my drivers and java as well as running a anti malware scan but nothing works. Any ideas?????

You can uninstall Java, only rarely used

Hi David, With laptops, overheating usually causes this sort of effect, so if you find that your pc is fine for say, the first 10 minutes after you switch on, then the fan starts up, then the 'apps' freeze, then it's an overheating issue.
Otherwise it could well be a graphics card driver problem, and updates from the manufacturer would be the best approach.
