Artefacts on POST screen

I'm getting thick white lines and dots across my screen at POST.

CPU or GPU related?

Any help is appreciated as I don't have any spare hardware to test with myself.

Uninstall all ATI Video drivers

Restart

Install the real Drivers here> http://www.palit.biz/download/driver/ati/ati_8.573_vista3264_ati064.zip

Note it's 129Meg Incredible !

Anyway, it should work properly then

Ok....I will do that in a few days after I get a new mobo, as the PC in question doesn't actually make it past the POST screen!
(I've had a whole series of troubles lately).

Not that I doubt your advice or anything, but how sure are you that this will solve the problem? (Since it's never happened before...Just randomly started today).
