Aspire X-Cruiser simple mod help

Okay, I'm the proud owner of the Aspire X-Cruiser case since my birthday in January 2007.

Here is a problem.

I tend to leave my pc on overnight due to the torrents downloads.

Those [censored] blue lights bothers me at night.

I thought about a special switch (that fit in the slots in the back) that turns on and off the blue light from the front and the interior (the future neon light)

The blue fan will be replaced with:

1 80MM Vantec Stealth

1 120MM Vantec Stealth

Now.. if i want to make the switch.. i will need to know the wiring diagrams on how to turn off the neon inverter and the front LED lights off at same time without causing some damages.


2nd of all. I was wondering how to disassemble the front cover so i could swap into other color, such as red or green...

Can someone explain me the along way ? I have tons of time.

that is a really nice case, i dont think there are any wiring diagrams for computer cases though, u just have to find the wires that power the lights, remember red is hot, and black is ground

All right, another problem.

I do know how to remove the front cover withswings open, but how to open inside the face so i could work inside?

Dustin. I understand you said the red was hot, but you wasnt specify enough.

Red = 5V Connected
BLK = GND No wire
BLK = GND CONNECTED
YEL = 12V CONNECTED

When i pulled it out of the psu.. the light and reading went out for the front.
Plugged it in and it turn on and reading was normal...

so i need to know how to make the wiring to work as on and off ?

Remember, i want to make the switch in the slot below the PCI.

Hello everyone. I was doing good planning the mod... until i ran into this problem. I desperately need to mod this lights from the front so i could go sleep properly without being awaken up by those bright blue led lights. Here my work in progress... Picture post... (I coded this picture because they exceed 1600X1200 due to the camera.)

I came by this problem by removing the clear cover that houses the light and the chrome hold down the clear cover...

I do know that i can just plunk the blue led out and change with different LED color but let hold that later. I unscrewed the back of door face and found the blue and white wire...

I got quite upset that i dont think i cannot mod the back light of those analog reading.. The red one will look awfully nice along with silver.... Now.. the wiring diagram... This is very complicated one. So i'm stuck on the track. Anyone willing to help me? Thanks techspot!
