Asus 9600se problems

Hello, I was wondering if anybody could help me with my problem. I've tried pretty much everything I think possible and have had this problem for at least a year now. When running games eventually my computer will stall freeze up and then I have to restart. However when I run counter-strike and I freeze I am able to hit the windows key and then I assume vpu recovery kicks in and fixes the problem then I am able to reload the game. Sometimes my monitor displays random lines and odd symetry of colors when this error occurs. I have tried many different drivers, they all seem to have the same effect. If anybody could help me I would greatly appreciate that, my computer specs:

motherboard - http://www.baber.com/baber/411/ecs_p6s5at.htm
videocard - asus 9600se
memory - 2x 256mb ddr ram
harddrive - 30 gb ide
cpu - 1 ghz celeron

Sounds like heat could be the problem. Take the side panel off your pc to see if it makes a difference. Also, make sure the graphics card fan is free of dust and runs properly.

Hope that helps, Rik.
