Asus crosshair motherboard problems

Hi All,

I'm new to this so bare with me..
I built new pc & I'm having trouble booting it up for the first time wondering if anyone has any suggestions or could help me?

specs are;
Asus Crosshair motherboard
Amd athlon 5200 am2 dual processor
Coolmaster extreme power duo 650w
x2 Corsair 2gig ddr2 6400c4 memory
Seagate barracuda 320gb 7200 16mb cache sata2 hardisk
x2 GIGABYTE 7600GT PCIE 256MB, GDDR3, 2xDualLinkDVI-I - Running "SLI"

When trying to boot up it sounds like the fan speeds slow down & pc makes a long beep followed by 2 short beeps & displays "DET DRAM" message on small lcd screen on motherboard.

I suppose the LCD screen on the motherboard is for diagnostics. I also suppose they wouldn't put such a thing without providing a manual with a list of codes so you could find out what they mean.

ps. the "DRAM" in the message might suggest that it's a memory problem. Have you tried powering the system without any ram to see what happens ?
