Asus P5NSLI with a Radeon Video Card - Will it Work?

Hello all, seeking some advice here.

I'm looking forward to upgrading my mother board but I live in Central America and getting these things is hard. The best I've been able to find is the Asus P5NSLI motherboard.

Now, if you go over to the board description over at the Asus website, it states that the graphics slot is built around nVidia technology. The problem is that I don't have a nVidia card but rather an ATI Radeon which I don't plan to upgrade for the moment. The guy at the computer shop that showed me the board assured me that my Radeon card would work with this board no problems, but I'm still doubtful.

My question is: will it work or no? Keep in mind I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to hardware.

Any help would be appreciated.

Even though the motherboard is based on the Nvidia chipset, any graphics card will work. The Nvidia tech allows you to run two identical Nvidia graphics cards at the same time.
