AT&T to start selling Amazon Kindle 3G on March 6

  1. AT&T has announced it will begin selling the Amazon Kindle 3G in its retail stores nationwide as of March 6, 2011. AT&T will also include Kindle 3G in its connected devices displays, allowing customers to test drive the device onsite. The Wi-Fi only version will not be available from the provider.

    If they are only going to sell the 3G version, does that imply they will force a data plan with the purchase?

    I think they are talking about the ISP, In this case, ATT. I'm sure the kindle will make it into best buy and walmart, but why would ATT have a wifi only version?
