Hi Guyz just a small problem if someone could help! Thanks, I have a Gigabyte Motherboard model GAK8NSC939 now this motherboard supports ATA100 I am using a 80 Pin IDE cable to run both my DVDRW drives on my secondary IDE channel but one of them registers as running ATA66 and the other ATA33 now one is a Samsung HS552 (i think) and a lite on 1653. both internal writers how do i get them both to register as ATA100?!?!

If the drives don't support higher ATA rates, then there is no way you can make them go faster and you have absolutely no need to either: 52x CD is ~7.5 megabytes per second and 16x DVD is ~21 MB/s. That's way below the 33MB/s ATA33 limit.

The samsung drive only supports DMA2 (ata33) the Liteon is among the handful of drives that support ATA66.
