hi, ive read alot of stuff about athlon 64's and i know their powerful but can someone give me a bit of a comparison, maybe compare it to a pentium 4 or athlon barton 3200 or something???

Just read different reviews from different sources & make out the conclusions yourself.

Depends on what you like...in a lot of benchmark tests, the Athlon 64 toasted the PIV's, but in others, the PIV's dominated...for audio intensive applications (Cubase SX) or gaming, I have to lean towards the Athlon 64's...but that's just me...

I'd also add that it depends on what you plan on using that PC for - the Athlon and PIV's both excel under different loads and demands...
