Athlon xp 2400+ clock problem - Help

Hi all, i badly need some advice
Ive got a Gigabyte GA-7VRXP (Rev. 2) mobo
Athlon 2400xp
512 pc2700 (2x256) and a
TNT riva2 graphics card(which is complete sh*t - i know)
Ive had alot of problems running this system in a stable way. I find that i can use a clock multiplier of 17.5 (9.5 on the mobo's jumpers) to achieve stability but this means that the processor only registers as a 2200xp. Changing the host clock speed seems to just lead to system failures. -All this is the processor running at 100mhz fsb - i know it should be at 133mhz but this is even less stable
.
How can i achieve a stable clock speed of 2gz -2400xp (133 x 15) - the correct clock speed????
I would appriciate any contribution, thanks
