Athlon XP-M 2800+ Speed

I have just a quick question regarding my CPU - and I apologize if this has already been covered. I would just like to know if my athlon xp-m 2800+ is as fast as a pentium 4 (2.4ghz) overclocked @ 2.4ghz? I have it clocked at this speed right now and it is very stable and cool.

Have you tried the program " CPU-Z " ?

It would tell you the speed and FSB.

Intel has high speed frequency than AMD.

AMD has a fastest FSB than Intel.

( Mind you, that was the article of Maximum PC )

Yeah, i got that cpu-z program. Right now, it reads a bus speed of 200.5mhz with a rated fsb of 400.9mhz.

In your case...

AMD is double pumped. ( 100MhZ X 2 )

Intel is quad pumped. (100MhZ X 4 = 400MhZ) or (133MhZ X 4 = 533MhZ )

And could we see your result please?

well, i have my bus speed (200mhz) multiplied by 12 giving me 2400mhz.
