ATI 9800pro 128mb display issue(searched).

Ok, I've tried searching the net and through your forums for issues like what I am having right now. No luck.

I recently bought an Sapphire ATI9800pro and I've had problems with the image since.
I'm 'attempting' to use it as we speak but for the most part I just get blue vertical lines and distortion. Right at the login screen there is usually a circle with a bunch of lines revolving from it. If I scroll down at all the image smears and can no longer be read. Just to write this I have to highlight it all and paste it to see what is going on.

I've tried different drivers, adding a more powerful powersource, refresh rates, messing with the harddrive accel and a bunch of other things I've read in forums.

I'd appreciate all the help I could get.

Some basic specs;
Windows xp pro
AMD 1.85 ghz
1gig of memory
MSI K792 Delta MB

perhaps it is caused by bad hardware. can you swap out any of your current parts with known good ones? if so, test the replacement parts and see which change makes the problem go away.

Have u tried reinstalling windows?

You could also try pulling the graphics card out then reseating it.
