ati all in wonder

once again i am having trouble with my ati all in wonder tv capture.(ati aiw 9700pro 128mb)
i uninstalled a nero program which seemed to upset my ati tv tuner???
so i tried to uninstall my ati programs and re-install.
cant get the program to install properly. it keeps giving me an error
"ati cim application launcher module has encountered a problem and needs to close"
i'm getting to the point where i want to do a complete OS re-install

can anybody give me some assistance.

Heres a few suggestions
Use Ati programs smartgart-uninstall & cat-uninstall available from ati site.

Before reinstalling disable any programs in your start folder also av software etc.

Go into your system preferences and locate startup program section uncheck any references to ati, nero etc...

My Solution...

Hey,

I also got the "ATI CIM application..." error. I got around this error rather easily. First I uninstalled all ATI programs using the "CATALYST UNINSTALLER" available at: http://www.ati.com/support/drivers/misc/catalystutils.html

After the uninstall is finished, reinstalled the ATI software from the CD in piecewise fashion.

Select "Custom" Install.

For the first installation, select the first 5 items:
*HydraVision
*Multimedia Drivers
*ATI Control Panel
*Direct X
*Radeon Display Driver will be checked off by default

After that's all done, do a second installation and select the last 5 items:
*DVD Decoder
*Multimedia Center 8.x
*ATI Remote Wonder
*GuidePlus+
*Unified Component Install will be checked off by default

Hopefully that will get around the error!
