I have an All-In-Wonder 9800 card with catalyst 4.2, Windows XP with all latest drivers and projector Optoma EzPro 737 (DLP) connected with DVI-D cable.

The problem:
When windows starts the projector get "no signal"

This also happens with VGA cables.. But. I have found a way to get by it with the VGAcables:

If I start with an regular monitor (VGA) and then switch cables to projector (VGA) and then go to Display Properties-->Settings-->Advanced-->Displays. then choose FPD and restart. It works to start windows with projector!

But I want to use my expensive DVI cable

(If uninstall display-driver it works to start windows with DVI.)

Can someone explain whats going on!! I have tryed some resolutions and refresh-locker programs with no result.

PLEASE HELP ME..

I do not know this item(,Optoma EzPro 737)but have you checked the specs to see what the input signal should be Analogue or digital ?

 Hello & Welcome to TechSpot

AFAIK the reason it won't work when you boot with just the projector connected is that you are using another display driver...

Try using a PnP driver or default monitor driver, and you shouldn't see this problem...

Hope this helps :)

Thanks for your answers..

-The projector is digital. To use VGA I have to use an adapter.

-The projector is PnP and I use PnP driver.

Any other ideas

If you're only using the projector on that computer, try using it's specific driver instead of MS' generic one...

BTW: Do you have the projector on when you're starting the computer? It needs to be on whilst booting for windows to get the correct info from the projector...

There is no specific driver for the projector (PnP).

Can I make a driver of my own? How?

Hmm..
Very weird!

After searching around a bit, I've still not found anything :(

It's not often I refer people to other boards, but in this case, I think you might get better help @ Rage3d.com, since they've got ATI staff on the forum...
Just don't adress the topic to them, as it'll be deleted on sight.

Hopefully they'll be able to help you out, where we/I could not.

But I do hope you'll hang around a bit, and not just disappear.
