ati & nforce compatibility question

  1. Need urget help! PLZ!

    Ok, without thinking I ordered a new motherboard. Nforce 3 from Gigabyte. I have an ATI Radeon 9600xt. will there be any dificulties getting those two working? i think i remeber reading something about thwy have compatablity problems. is this true? and if so is it anything worth worrying over? thanks

    No problem whatsoever... AGP slot is an AGP slot.

    You shouldn't have any problems due to their being an NVidia chipset on the motherboard. ATI cards work fine in NVidia chipset motherboards, just as NVidia cards work fine in ATI chipset motherboards.

    Just be sure you flash the latest BIOS and grab the latest chipset/agp drivers from NVIDIA prior to installing the ATI 3d drivers for the best results.
