  1. I am having problems with my ATI Radeon 9600 series 256mb, after playing most 3d intensive games the graphics tend to go really slow for about 20 secs then catch back up however the sound is fine, this is happenin quite often and is now begining to get annoying. My system should be able to handle the games as I have enough spare hdd space (over 30gbs) and over 1 gb of ram, i am also using upto date drivers from ATI website. Is this a common fault with the card or something else. Help Please

What CPU do you have? This might be a disk fragmentation problem. Try defraging your drive more often.

Your graphics card is the most important component with regard to playing games. Your other specs might be fine but the graphics card is the bottleneck. It may not be able to keep up with most high end games. It is a fairly low card now days. You may need to turn down the game settings to lower ones to get your frame rates up.
