ATI, Sapphire, Powercolor and Atlantis?

  1. Right, I'm after a Radeon 9800 Pro 128mb.

Now what is the difference between an ATI, Sapphire and all the others? They have different prices and I'm thinking of going with the original ATI product but would like to know what's the deal with the others?

EDIT: I'd also like to add Connect3d into the list, Amazon are selling the Connect3d Radeon 9800 Pro 128mb at a much higher price.

The biggest differences are what kind of babe / monster (there don't seem to be other options) covers the package and what's bundled with the card - unless you intend to buy a 'bulk' package.

Other differences are memory chip brands & speeds (ie. how much room they have left for overclocking purposes). There might also be some GPU speed variances but I don't think more than 5% among the same chips.

I carry at my store the ATI, Powercoler and Sapphire Lines. I have been please with all including their RMA process. I perfer the ATI brand because hey they make the chip so the board must be good too.
