ATI released today more details on the new Radeon IGP 9100 chipsets for desktops and notebooks. As expected the chipsets will be marketed toward Pentium 4, Celeron and mobile Pentiums using DDR400 memory and built-in AGP graphics with multiple monitor support.

One of the features missing from the IGP 9100 is support for 800Mhz FSB (although H-T support is present, bus is limited to 533MHz) denoting ATI's intention of marketing the chipset for lower cost machines, much 'a la' SiS/Intel but with more quality video.

ATI has also boldly claimed “as much as six times higher than similar chipsets from competitors” for its Mobility IGP 9100, as well as “half as much power consumption”.
