Atlon XP 1900+ question

greets...

i just saw over at newegg.com that they are selling two kinds of 1900+ processors. i'm not referring to thoroughbred and palomino, the difference is in the core. one is tagged as an AGOGA core and the other one is a regular 1900+. does anyone know the difference between these? does this AGOGA core have more overclocking potential or something of the sort? any clarifications are appreciated. i'm asking because the difference between these two is a full $13 and it seems a bit too much to pay for a proc that will run at the same speed.

We've had a previous thread on "stepping" but I can't find it right now.

AGOGA core stepping should be a better OC'er.

The AGOGA cores are used in the XP 2000+ processors and the XP1900+ AGOGA chips are basically underclocked from the XP 2000+ spec which runs at 1.67GHz. The difference between the XP 1900+ and the latest 2100+ spec is only a difference of 140MHz and the Athlon XP1900+ AGOGA chips should be able to provide the user with an almost guaranteed Athlon XP 2100+ performance at the price of the XP 1900 which is much lower in comparison.
