Audigy 2 & 5.1 speakers?? help please?

Hi:
I have an Audigy 2 sound card, and the Altec lansing 251, 5.1 speakers and can't get the centre speaker to work, as the colour coding doesn't match.

can anyone help me with how to hook them up correctly???
I noticed someone called Iamblacky listed the same problem, but didn't list his solution...

the center channel is sent usually to the subwoofer for a few reasons. the center channel will only work when you are playing a 100% dolby 5.1 surround compatible game or music or dvd, whatever it is. mp3's are stereo, meaning 2 channels, left and right, and a crossover in the sub separates to bass signal for just the sub. your rear channels are an echo of the two fron t channels. its not that your center doesnt work, its that your audio stream is not 5.1 surround compliant.
