Available Resolution Changes With Each Update

Alright. Here's the gist of it:

I have a 1080p Samsung monitor that I run at the following resolutions in games:

1080p, 2K DSR, 4K DSR.

Here's the problem:

Each time Windows 10 does an update, I either gain or lose the ability to select 2K DSR in most games. Occasionally, it will nix DSR altogether.

Is there a setting in Windows 10 I can change that will prevent this?

Maybe "this year's model" Siddhartha who's now in charge of M$, doesn't feel you've made enough of an effort to unlock the secrets of its existence, so you therefore, don't deserve it.

Although, I 'd make a guess that since "2K DSR", & "4K DSR", are "abstract resolutions manufactured by Nvidia", (pixel dithering protocols perhaps?), that Windows simply "doesn't believe they exist", and/or, isn't playing nicely with the current video drivers.

Actually, Nvidia customer support is some of the best, so I'd call or email them directly. Maybe they have a solution. Or maybe your input will force a solution with their next set of drivers.
