AVG11 or COMMODO firewall causing computer to turn off

Had the problem 3 times in the last 2 days, twice I was hosting a minecraft server so i know its not that. I have had problems with firewalls before my old one Zonealarm caused this same problem. Automatically I thought it could be COMMODO but then i noticed my AVG has started to turn parts of it self off and can not fix itself.

So i was wondering if anyone else has had similar problems and what the cause was?.

It could simply be a conflict between the two applications. Have you tried running the system with only one of them installed?

I would switch from AVG to Avast or Avira Antivir as a test...
Or evaluate whether you really need or use Commodo until you figger this out...
Then run new scans with Avast or Avira, SuperAntiSpyware, MalwareBytes, and Microsoft Security Essentials. They will nab the evil that lurks on your machine.

Just spent an hour or so uninstalling comodo just on the offchance its my firewall again. Damn thing is such an **** to take off. Going to have to wait for another turn off i cant seem to manufacture them.

Yep, Comodo can be difficult to remove. Have you tried the description/how to on their website?
