Can anyone take me through the full process of changing video files into a format that I can then burn onto vcd, what programs do I need? I have vcdeasy but that program seems to use mpeg files, and their help section is extremely complecated.

I having troubles of my own, but here are a few suggestions:

You need an editing program that has the "rendering to vcd" - function integrated. I know for sure that "pinnacle" has this function and its very user friendly. Theres a demo at their homepage

I'm not sure if moviemaker 2 has that function, but its also user friendly.

Another possiblilty is to render your films to mpeg1 with the sound settings at 44100mhz and the video at 320x240 - those are standard settings for vcd's. Then get a program that can burn vcd's, using mpeg1 files as input. I use a program called "Veritas - recordnow dx". This has worked well for me.

Its a labyrinth out there trying to figure out what works and what doesn't - so good luck!

Hope this helps
