Backup XP PRO with all updates

I would like to backup my XP PRO and all of the updates so I can replace MB and Processor.
Is there a way I can do this? I only have dial up and it would take forever to re download the patches and service pack.

ANY backup will do the trick -- your problem will be getting the MS License

Call Redmand, WA and discuss what you did and they should give you another
License Key.

btw: new onboard hardware may well interfere with the new system attempting
to use the OLD DRIVERS.

You could always use the Files and Settings Transfer Wizard (Programs > Accessories > System Tools > ) which will copy all your data files, registry entries, email accounts and folders etc etc. To do the job right you could use an external hard drive (or an internal slave)

You could also make an image of your hard drive (e.g. Norton Ghost). Even though the configuration in your sys is according to the old hardware config, it works.
