  1. My computer has been working fine, then all of a sudden when I started my computer a couple error messages came up.

    winlogon.exe -Bad Image
...................................................... .dll is not a valid Windows Image. Please check this against your installation diskette.

    then:

    services.exe -bad image

The application or dll C:\WINDOWS\WinSxS\x86............. .dll is not a valid Windows Image. Please check this against your installation diskette.

    then:

    lsass.exe -bad image

C:\WINDOWS\WinSxS\x86................................ .dll is not a valid Windows Image. Please check this against your installation diskette.

After clicking OK on the last error, the "Loading Windows" Window comes up. When it goes away, nothing shows but a blank screen. I cannot get into Windows in any type of safe mode. The same things happen. When I try to boot from the disk, it comes up with a "Stop" error and tells me to scan for viruses or make sure my hard drive is hooked up properly. I'm pretty sure that my hard drive is hooked up correctly. I don't know how to scan my computer for viruses if I cannot get into it. Please Help!!

Sounds like an impending hard disk failure...

i agree.. check your hdd using the utility from the manufacturer's website (do deep analysis)

slave it on another PC and get your important info off asap.

Might want to try a windows repair if your HDD is ok.
