Battlefield 1942: doesn't work :(

I appearantly have a graphic issue of some kind, cuz when i start it up, i can hear the background audio but my monitor says "out of range" (my montor is a BENQ flatscreen). my video card is a Saphire Radeon 9600 Pro Atlantis, and i downloaded the 7.2 patch, like 10 mins ago and it still doesnt work. I kno its sumthing wrong with the video card or its config cuz the game worked when i had my old geforce card.

Get into the games options and lower the video settings or video refresh rate

What is happening is the resolution the game is starting at is either too large or too small for your LCD, OR, the refresh rate is either too fast or too slow for your LCD. Hook up another monitor and see if it works.

P.S. If you have a Radeon 9600PRO, why does your signature say you have a PCI-E motherboard and an 8800GTX?
