Hi everyone!

I got a new Battlefield 1942 game from wal-mart. I tried it in my computer, and it installed fine. I played the game, I was able to attempt to start the game, But it was so slow that I couldnt even play! The frame rate im guessing was only about 1 fps! That is too slow for me. I tried it on the absolute lowest settings, looked at the minimum requirements(my computer exceeds minimum requirements). I also closed all background processes. Is theres something wrong that happened? My system specs are in my profile. But for convience I will put them right here:

eMachines T2682
Intel 845GV MOBO Chipset with onboard video
254 MB RAM(I dont know why it isnt 256 MB)
Intel Celeron 2.60 GHz Processor

Thanks for all your help!

If you only have 256mb of ram, that could be a problem. The game ran very slow(on high settings, in low settings it ran fine) in one of my systems that had 512mb, but upgrading to 1gb really helped.

I would think it would run "smooth enough to play" if you set the settings to low, and use a low screen res(800x600), unless you have other problems.

you dont have 256 because 2MB is being used for video.

Which is not enough to run 1942
