BBC iPlayer does not resume play from where I left off

In the past couple of weeks BBC Radio IPlayer has been acting up. I use Firefox and normally if I close the page that the player is on I can re-open the webpage and it would resume play from where I left it. However, now, it will always resume from the start of the programme.

Any ideas why this is happening and how to correct it?
