BCCode Error

Hi,
Just wondering if someone can help me out here. I had this computer for the last 3 years now and my RAM just recently died.
I purchased a new piece of RAM for it and the tech shop sold me a PC3200 for my system. I told them before they ordered it I needed either PC2100 or PC2700. They looked up the specks of my motherboard and said it should not be a problem. The brand of my motherboard is SRock and the model is K7S41GX which states in the book it can only hold a PC2100 or PC2700 stick of RAM and can hold up to a GIG.
I called them up and said that I think the RAM cannot handle the motherboard and they told me to take it in so they could check it out. They chalked it to being diskerrors and did a check disk and said it fixed the issue. I just got the computer back today and it is still giving me the same error message.
This is the error I receive:
BCCode : 10000050 BCP1 : E4D82048 BCP2 : 00000000 BCP3 : BF809002
BCP4 : 00000001 OSVer : 5_1_2600 SP : 2_0 Product : 256_1
Does anyone know what this could be. I have talked to people and they seem to think as well it is RAM related and I tend to agree but the tech shop thinks different.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

PC2700 with a 266Mhz FSB is the highest your board can use. Take the memory back and get PC2700 modules
