Belkin Problems with msn

I have just installed a belkin wireless router, but now i cant sign into msn messenger, it says a firewall is blocking it although windows & mcafee firewalls are turned off, I can only think it has something to do with the router firewall, but I dont know how to do it, any ideas please?

many thanks

use split halves to prove the router is your problem.

disconnect it and cable the system directly to the modem and reboot the system. if msn is still blocked, then it's your firewall and not the router :)

Look in the box, there is a CD, insert the CD and read the manual...

Those belkin routers have 2 firewalls

NAT
SPI

Some routers have those features and Intrustion Dection..

just nit picking; NAT and SPI are not firewalls.
A firewall operates on user defined rules to allow/deny traffic under specific conditions.
NAT is unilateral and SPI has fixed rules; you want them always even if
your firewall is inactive :)

... and what conclusion do you reach?

I know, they're hardware type and not software. I thought it was refering to the Belkin not the PC..
