throughout my household I use Norton AVS. Either NAVS alone or Norton Internet security. I have about 5 subscriptions that I pay on a yearly basis..........Honestly though, with WXP fire walls, numerous mail services providing own AVS software and the plethora of choices out there I'm curious as to what is generally considered the "best" brand. And, honestly, if it's a free software package so be it. My use is strictly home and not business use.

I know I can get NIS that allows multiple computers but after about a decade of devotion to Norton I'm just wondering what else is out there. I use to also have a Spyware software (Spy Sweeper) but don't seem to need that anymore either.....

I use Kaspersky Internet Security 2007
It seems to have about half the resource of NIS (that you use)
And does a better job (I feel) in Windows and in safe mode
