As we all know, XP has been around forever and well times have changed since its introduction and so has computer hardware. When XP first came into play on average most people had 256 mb or less of system memory in there computers. This being so Windows XP im my opinion is not optimized for large amounts of RAM 1 gb or more.

The purpose of this thread is for anyone with any special memory tweeks
for users with more than 1 gb of system memory

WinXP is optimized for large amounts of RAM. WinXP will support up to 4GB RAM, if you read the fine print
