K kitty500cat Posts: 1,391 +6 Jul 14, 2007 #5 I think the active shield for AVG's free antivirus doesn't expire. The shield for AVG's free antispyware program does expire, however. Avast is another good free antivirus program. Regards

Alex.A Posts: 68 +1 Jul 15, 2007 #7 OK, I installed AVG, because I saw that this anti-virus is a good one. Now, do i need to make some settings, to improve the protection or I should let the program as is installed in the first time?

almcneil Posts: 1,236 +1 Jul 15, 2007 #8 When I setup AVG for my customer I select that the scan be a high priority task and do NOT use the scheduled scan. I recommend they perform they routine maintenance manually to ensure utilities don't conflict and the steps are actually done.
