I am considering purchasing a MP3 player and was wondering what opinions are out there... From what I have read, it seems that the new (4th gen) Ipods are the best all-around player in terms of capacity (im interested in 20gb), ease of use, and audio format support. thanks for your input!

iPods are definitely nice, I've always been a fan of Rios too, I got myself a Rio Cali 256mb last year to use when I go out jogging.

300 dollars is definately my cap (less is better but most 20GB are around that). I looked at the Creative Zen Touch which got good reviews, but was also cited as being not quite to par with ipod...?

I recommend the iRiver, it's a nice player.

I would recommend iRiver or Creative. iPod pricing from my point of view is a bit too much.

iRiver is reknown for their quality output of song.
