BF2 key trouble

I am having trouble with the CD key invalid error.
I have checked the registry and it does have the real key.
I have gone to EA support, but they are about as quick with their responses as God to answering prayers.
I am running Win7 64-bit and I did set the compatibility to XP SP2. I've also tried the SP3 and Vista compatibility and the problem remains.
Anyone got any ideas?

Perhaps install game patches? If that doesn't help, if you haven't already, I would uninstall the game and try reinstalling it.

I tried reinstalling it twice.
It's weird, but I always seem to have trouble with EA games. The only one being an exception is Crysis.

Uninstall again
Manually remove the reg key from registry (backup the key first)
Run CCleaner:http://www.ccleaner.com/download/downloading
Restart
Re-install

I am reinstalling it right now. I am actually wondering whether or not my running a Win7 64 bit has anything to do with this. I also reinstalled my FarCry2 and am having an issue with the key there as well.
