Bio's Help, What does Overclock mode do?

Hey guys since i yet have been unable to to solve my problem, what does overclock mode do? i have Async and Sync and they all say cpu, pcie or another option called auto, now what does this do? nd i have another option htt to pcie or sumthing and it says subtract or positive.

This gives you the option to overclock your hardware(push it to work faster but produce more heat. However seems as you didn't no what it was anyway I would just leave it on auto.

well i figure that much, i was wondering im using a ASRock dual sata 2 mobo and on the site, it has a drive call ULI AGP, and i was wondering if i dont have that driver installed would it cause problems for me?such as random freezes n such
