Bios restoration

okay hi all and ty in advance, he goes i have an Intel D845GRG mb but has a gateway OEM BIOS so. I ORiginally intended to unlock or change the bios back to intel if that is even possible but anyway i go ahead and downloaded the proper gateway OEM bios from Gateway themselves flashed my bios, then nothing my computer failed to reboot so i figured ok ill format my HD cause i thought the bios took no problem so i tried installing windows XP it told me my bios doesnt support ACPI and i could chose to disable it so i did but none of my devices worked in the operating system so i wonder if anyone knows how to restore intel's bios instead of Gateways OEM one

The bios should definitely support ACPI and the APIC extensions, but your might need to set it on in the bios. It might even be worth letting the biois set itself to 'optimised' or whatever it offers.
