  1. I am looking for a software package that has anti-virus, firewall and anti-spyware, etc. I have come across BitDefender Total Security and would like to know if it is any good.

    Thanks.

Oh,yes. I am a home user and use the net only to connect to my bank and e-mail accounts.

I haven't tried BitDefender, but there is a free download from http://www.comodo.com/ that is three separate programs that operate together and work very well. I ran it for a while, but the spyware portion was a pain. Before you could authorize certain software, it had to upload it to Comodo for verification of it being safe and then it could be authorized. If you only use the internet for those purposes you listed, it shouldn't be that much of a hassle. But, if you use the internet a lot and do a lot of installing and uninstalling of programs (gamer/power users), it can become quite a nuisance.
