Black screen after loading games or movies

Hey. My friends computer has a problem where it crashes and the screen goes black every time he tries to load a game or play a movie. I don't have a whole lot of details on his system as he doesn't know a lot about computers, but I do know it is a computer about 4 years old with integrated graphics running windows XP. I know it isn't a lot of information but if any one has any idea of what it could be i would appreciate it. Thanks.

Find the make of the system and then go to the manufacture's website. On the website have him find his exact model and then update the latest drivers, etc. that they have for his system.

I also forgot to add that this is a new problem. His computer was working perfectly up until a few weeks ago.

I would still go ahead and do the updates.

I updated the drivers and it still doesn't work. Any ideas at what else it could be?

Check the monitor cables.
