Black screen white mouse pointer only, Vista 32-bit

i mean thing is I've ran the avg rescue cd, and it was after i had deleted some virus that the system gave me the windows/vol.sysnap thing which i don't know what it means. ANd i've treid the last configuration in which is gives me the same problem. And no, i don't have system restore since there was so no saved point.

volsnap.sys is the Volume Shadow Copy service which can be disabled but not without getting into either safe or normal mode.

I have run out of solutions to get around your problem and believe that the infection you had has damaged you windows installation. The only option now is to do an Upgrade repair with a retail copy of Vista, this will leave all your other files and software intact but there is no guarantee that the infection has not damaged them as well. And, as there may be some remnants of the infection still in your system my advise would be to do a reformat and clean install of the OS.

You will need to purchase or borrow a copy of Vista that matches the version shown on your Licence sticker. You can only perform the Upgrade Repair if the disc has the same service pack level already installed on it (a burned slipstreamed copy will not work).

Sorry I could not get you out of this situation any other way but now believe you have no other choice.
