My kid built a box with a Biostar mobo, m7ncg-400. It has one stick of 512 ram (it had 2, but one went bad, a 120 mb hdd, and a cd-rom. It used to boot into XP then blue screen, so I reinstalled the os, and pulled the 2nd stick of ram. (it was telling me I had page file errors in the blue screens. I wiped the drive, reinstalled XP, and reset the cmos jumper to its defaults.
Now, it posts, shows stats, and starts to load the initial XP splash w/progress bar, then goes black.
It also reports 32 MB ram during post instead of 512 mb.
Any ideas???
