    bloodhound.20/ windows won't boot = blank startup

    hi. norton detected a bloodhound.20 virus in my computer. later, windows popped up saying that a programs was being replaced so i restart. when i did, the computer won't bootup... it does the windows XP loading thing, but then just goes into a blank screen with a mouse pointer. can someone help or direct me somewhere? i need something simple and easy. thanks.

    -tried windows XP CD = nothing shows up
    -tried F8 for safe mode(s) = returns to blank
    -tried DEL and found CMOS menu
    -tried to access Task Manager = hopeless :(
