Blue sceeen

Hi, I need some help troubleshooting my computer, What the problem is it will crash and go to a blue screen and do a dump, then restart. I have had this problem before and it kept giving me a system 32 error message. That problem was last year but I removed everything on the computer and reinstalled it and everything worked fine untill 2 days ago. Then the crashing started to happen. I use mcaffe virus scan and there fire wall. That seems to work fine and checks out ok. I also use Registry Smart to help fix my system registry, most of the time it will say 2 problems found and then fix them, but I ran registry smart last night after making sure all my windows updates are current. after I restarted the computer I ran registry smart again and it found 47 problems. I fixed them and 10 seconds later I get a blue screen again. It just crashes whenever. I also noticed if I use internet explore 7 it will crash. If I use Mozilla Firefox to get on the net my comp has not yet crashed. Im trying to figure out what the problem is and fix it. Can somebody tell me how to get my system info on my comp so I can post it and other useful info you may need? And I need to figure out how to copy and save my files of error messages if I ever get any?, I was reading another post about zip files and such. and the last thing what is malware? Oh and Im using windows xp, I think sp2 if that helps. Well I hope somebody can lend me a hand, Thanks

ok i got it to crash again, and it gave me this at the blue sceen. ***stop:0X00000050 (0XFFFFBFF8,0X00000000, 0X8054AA32, 0X00000000, I have no idea what this means, does anybody know what a minidump is and how to perform it and save it?? please help.

Just as Nibbie, I also recently upgraded from an ASRock mobo, 2.4 Celeron with 1G DDR, to a GeForce 6100/64 bit Dual Core Athlon with 2G DDR2. I conducted a repair vice a new O/S install and only get as far as the Win XP Home Edition logo screen before I get a blue screen with the following stop code:

***STOP: 0x0000007E (0x0000005, 0xBA248750, 0xBA4C3450, 0xBA4C3150).

Everything was working fine prior to the upgrade. Please, if there is anyone that can assist me in getting my system back up and running, I would greatly appreciate it.

When my computer restarts back up it gives me an error report but I dont know what it means.

Hey, Nibbie...I'm new here but I came here on a lead-in from google on the stop error question that you had...and which I had had. Anyway, long story short...I joined and I wanted to share with you-and apparently others with similar problem- my solution. Hopefully you have xp, as I do, and you can go to a restore point prior to when you started getting these errors. Mine had started about a week and a half ago and I went back to a point from a month ago and bingo...all is well. Best to you, I hope this works for you...Let us know...
