Blue screen of death (0xF8899528)

Hey,during start up of win xp the blue screen of death comes up with message:
(STOP: 0x0000007B (0xF8899528, 0xC0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000). I tried everything, boot win xp and even linux from cd (it looks like, it doesn't work and I changed in bios bootable devices), later form usb storage. Nothing helped. I don't wanna format hdd, it contains important data. Any idea??!!! THX PS:i can't find anywhere, what does error 0xF8899528 mean.

get an external enclosure kit and back up all your information, then reformat.... sounds about like your only option...

This is a common error if a SATA drive is set to AHCI Mode (in the BIOS). The second parameter is the one to look at with bugcheck 7B.
