BNC Monitor

  1. Hello. I just got this 20 " monitor for free. Great right. Sorta. See it has a single BNC port on the back. Does anybody know if it is possible to hook this up to a PC and use as a monitor? Or anyway to check it to see if it works at all?

Yes, you can get a BNC monitor cable - that's how I have one of my monitors hooked up right now.

Great now can you talk me thru this.

Is there a single BNC to computer hook up that can hook directly to my present video card with a standard monitor hook up.

Or does it involve getting another video card that has a BNC connector on it and in installing it in the computer?

Nope - your first sentence was correct - I have a single cable with BNC connectors on one end and DB15 on the other. Just hook up the 5 BNC connectors to the monitor and you're good to go!

I'm not exactly sure where you'd purchase one though - but they can't be too uncommon. Mine came with the monitor.
