Boot problems

Hello,

When I boot my laptop all I get is a black screen and the arrow of my mouse.

I have done a system recovery and then I get the error 0x45d.

The hard drive has probably failed...

Have removed the hard drive and put it in a other laptop and it still works

If I put it in the other laptop its the second harddrives, so it boots from the normale harddrive, not from the one of broken laptop.

But I was thinking, if I put it in the other laptop and I copy the importend files on that laptop and then do a clean install on that hdd its okey.
so I will try that first.

Have done that now, have used the acer recovery tool and now he is installing the software but it is stuck on update 34/38 (configWLM) do you know whate I can do now ?
